Since becoming parents six years ago, we have tried really hard to raise our boys as bilingual kids. It's definitely not easy since my husband and I were both raised by Mexican parents in America. We have only studied, lived and worked in the United States.

I'm done with the heat and it's only beginning of July. After endless humidity and rain, we were all fortunate to get a beautiful July 4th weekend.  However, by the end of it I was craving some cooler temperatures.

I remember the days of lying on my bunk bed at sleep away camp, writing letters to my parents and friends. My bed strewn with the girly stationary and colored pens my mother bought me every summer.

Honestly I couldn't have asked for a better gift around Mother's day! I won the raffle for 4 tickets to the Bari Koral rock show at SOPAC - the South Orange Performing Arts Center.
